Wheelbuilding again in May

Glen Copus and John Speare will be teaching the 3-part Wheelbuilding class again in May. We had a lot of feedback requesting this class, so here it is. Sign up online! There are 4 openings left. If you’re curious about bicycle wheels, truing, and seeing a complete set of wheels through from start to finish, this is your class.

May 24, 26, 27th from 6:30-8:30 at the P2P shop.

New Class Offering–FREE

This Wednesday, we’re offering a new class: Commuter Basics, taught by our shop mechanics Ryan and John Henry. If you are new to bike commuting, this class was made with you in mind. Ryan and John will cover roadside repair and basic maintenance, riding safely in traffic, and they’ll offer suggestions for how to make your commuting more enjoyable (i.e. how to prepare for the elements and how to carry stuff on your bike).

Class is from 6-9 this Wednesday, and the cost is FREE. Bring your bike, or better yet, ride it to the shop for this great class offering!

Grand Opening Get-Down Tonight

Stop by the shop, 6-8pm, for our open house and silent auction–great time to see the new space and bid on some awesome stuff from local people like Tiffany Patterson and Mt Gear

And at the Empyrean and 8, there will be a music by Hockey and Jason Bazan–good tunes and free schwag courtesy of New Belgium Brewery.

Great Stuff in our Front Window

Tiffany Patterson’s artwork, an Overland pack stuffed with rentals and books from Mt Gear, Yakima car-top bike rack, New Belgium bike, BOB trailer, and 1969 classic ladies cruiser are all in our front window for you to peruse. Place a bid on these items during normal business hours (10-5) at our shop at 1802 E Sprague. Our SNAP neighbors will help you out if we’re not there.

This is cool stuff, and you might pick up some great items for a steal!

Power 2 the Pedal

Great article by Erika Prins in this month’s Out There Monthly. Erika spent time talking to volunteers and customers, came and used the shop, and crafted a piece of news that’s entertaining and informative. Nice!

Check out this amazing free publication and read the article about P2P. Thanks Erika, Jeff and Jon for featuring us

Spring Break

Kids in Spokane schools will be on spring break till April 4th, and so will we. The shop will still be open, but our blog will be stagnant for a little while. Check back in a week for more content.

Enjoy the weather

Ride a lot

Watch out for kids on bikes

Great Article: DTE talks to P2P

DTE news visited the P2P shop earlier this year and took some great pictures and also wrote an article detailing who we are and what we’re doing. Check them out.

Bart and Paul are constantly in motion looking for cool sustainable projects and folks in Spokane, and we’re happy to be a group they were interested in talking to :,,)

Thanks guys!
